How it works

The Empyre is a non-pressurized system which heats the water surrounding the fire chamber. The water is thermostatically controlled by setting the aqua stat to the desired water temperature. The pump then circulates the hot water from the furnace connected to a home or shop, using a 3/4” to 1 1/4” water pipe from the furnace.

Heat is easily distributed in a house or shop using a variety of water to air heat exchangers. If there is an existing furnace with duct work in the house, simply install a heat exchanger into the duct work. If there is no existing duct work, in-floor heat can be used, installing baseboard radiators, or even installing a heat exchange unit to provide heat.

Applications

Baths The Empyre furnace is designed to provide hot water for baths and showers. The hot water is stored in the hot water tank. The hot water is heated through a side arm heat exchanger mounted to the side of the hot water tank.

Sinks Washing hands can be a pleasure with the sense of comfort knowing that you are heating with your own Empyre furnace.

Hot Water Heater The Empyre furnace can heat domestic hot water. As long as there is a fire burning in the furnace you will not run out of hot water. The Empyre furnace will save money on utility bills.

Dishwashers The hot water for a dishwasher can be economically operated with the Empyre furnace.

Swimming Pools The Empyre furnace can heat a swimming pool using a water to water heat exchanger. This is the most cost effective way to heat a pool.
